Well, yesterday was momentous! A bit of background for those of you who don't know me well: when my brother and I were quite young, we were given up for adoption, and eventually we were taken in by Pegasus. I never expected to see or hear from my birth parents again, but shortly after New Year's, I recieved a message that they had seen my name in a magazine and were interested in making contact with us. So yesterday I met my mother and father again. It was an emotional reuinion and I'm not sure anyone's eyes remained completely dry, but I'm glad I went through with it. They seem like kind people. Having heard their reasons, I can't blame them for anything they did. Hopefully we will be able to spend more time getting to know each other in the future.
So I made my daily visit to the house (I'm sure the workers are getting tired of me breathing down their necks, but I can't seem to stay away), and imagine my pleasure to see that they've finished my studio today! To me, that means one thing: I am going shopping! Time to hit the craft stores!
Wouldn't you know, I find a pattern of tile I like, and come to find out it's been discontinued. I'll have to keep looking. How frustrating to have people taking up the carpet, and have nothing to put down once its gone! But I have ordered paint for the studio walls, so at least that can be done. I'm fairly certain I'm going to be doing my office in tones of green - most of what I want for that has been picked out already. As for the rest of the house... well, I'm drowning in options! It has to be something both of us like. What do you think, Siegfried? What color do we paint the bedroom?
Well, we've done it! We bought a house. A rather nice one, to my way of thinking. I'm already doing some serious thinking about how we might decorate it. There are going to have be some renovations, so we can't move in right away, but I'd like to at least see the third floor completed so we have someplace to live and work if my lease on the apartment runs out before all the other renovations are done.
Ryuuzaki-san, I'll have to bring you down there sometime soon, so you can have a look at the new kitchen and advise us as to what it might need.
Well, well, well.
Did anyone else read the article in the paper today? It seems that after a thorough investigation a young fellow has been arrested on charges including, but not limited to, assaulting a certain someone on his way home from the florist's. Apparently they also found any number of interesting things on his computer.
I suppose it would be terribly biased of me to write about it in my own publication, but all the same, this article is going in my scrapbook.
Siegfried, I've been meaning to tell you, so I'll write it down here so I don't forget again. We've been offered a pet bird to liven up our domicile. What are your thoughts on this?
Well, everything seems to be back to normal. Ryuuzaki-san seems glad to be in front of his stove and not behind a desk. Siegfried seems glad to be home (he didn't even get angry when I told him about the money Ryuuzaki-san spent on gifts). I'm certain my brother and everyone at our respective workplaces is glad to no longer be picking up the slack caused by this mixup. I expect Haga-san and Kenzan-san are happy to have their housemate back. And I am very glad that everything is back the way it should be. This has been a real headache for everyone, but all's well that ends well, and this adventure seems to have ended well.
Hm. It's two o'clock already, and I'm still in my bathrobe. Vacation day or not, I feel like I ought to be getting dressed.
